The mentor will work with the fellow to establish outcomes and performance levels to be achieved during the CF, and will provide guidance throughout the experience.
Before serving as a clinical supervisor or CF mentor, potential supervisors will need to have a minimum of: Nine months of practice experience post-certification before serving as a supervisor and Two hours of professional development in the area of clinical instruction or supervision post-certification, Confirm your mentor will complete 18 direct hours and 18 indirect hours of observation. Establish with your mentor what kind of CF experience you prefer and goals for your CF experience. Know the ASHA Code of Ethics and understand.
